Bi-Polar

I was diagnosed with bi-polar condition on Tuesday. Today I researched more about it and found that it is a life long mental illness that has no cure. Hmmm. I was really worried that maybe I can't have any more children naturally with this condition. I read that pregnancy is still an option. Yay!

Hey Megan,

I heard about your re-diagnosis - hopefully it will help you get more out of treatment. These are just labels that try to help the doctors know what treatments and drugs are useful in treating us. The doc last month was considering updating my dx to bipolar as well. I should have MR post a picture of my last Manic Phase creation - I see it everyday on my wall. Just remember that you are not the diagnosis - you are Megan, with that particular diagnosis. By the way, they changed my meds, and I'm doing much better now (not perfect, but much better, we take what we can get).

Love Dom (or Rev Darth, mwahaha)

Hey Megan!
I just caught up on your blog, and wanted you to know that I am so inspired by you. I love that you are so open and honest with life. I have many people who are close to me who also suffer from bi-polar. I think you can lead a much more normal and healthy life if you are open to it and don't try to hide it from the ones you love. You will be surprised to find just how many people are willing to help, love and understand you when you are honest. If you need to talk I would love to. I don't have plans to be up North when you are there this summer, but maybe I could arrange something. It would be so fun to see you and let our kids play! Also, I don't know if your therapist told you or not, but taking fish oil everyday along with medications helps to even out your moods.
